Hi! My name is Allyson C. Love

I believe that each of us has the potential to create the change we want to see in this world.

I wanted to understand the “why” in my life. I found solace and a sense of self by becoming the

family mediator, the fixer, the rescuer and the people pleaser to get the much desired

praise to feel better about myself.

After growing up in a dysfunctional, alcoholic home and being bullied in school, I wore a mask of being the people pleaser, the fixer and the rescuer to get the love I craved…until one day I woke up and started asking why so much pain was present in my life and if life had to feel this way.

I felt that way throughout my elementary, middle and high school years. I was bullied by other students and didn't have many friends. Not only did I feel sad, disconnected, lonely and picked on in school, I experienced these same feelings at home – the place where love certainly did not abound.

My home life was dysfunctional. I lived in an alcoholic environment. My mother drank on the weekends, and when angry, would give all of us the silent treatment for days and sometimes for weeks. My dad would come to me to talk about how he was feeling. Family members would also tease me and call me names when growing up.

I wore a mask of bravery, yet I felt like I wasn't enough and struggled with self-love and low self-esteem.

I looked and found love in toxic relationships. While I achieved success professionally, I felt like an imposter on the inside. As I continued in this downward spiral, I finally had the courage to seek answers to the “why?”

  • Why did life hurt so much?

  • Why did I attract myself to emotionally unavailable men?

  • Why was I a people pleaser and codependent?

To heal and thrive, I purposely sought out tools and resources, and through The Adult Chair®, I experienced a radical change from the inside out.

I now feel empowered to love myself, heal and to thrive, and I want to teach you the same!

“I loved how she helped me identify the multiple issues floating around and we worked on one and it allowed me to identify things to work on in my future coaching sessions - it grounded me and gave voice to them so that I’m settled and now that I’ll unpack them soon.”
